Read the story to the class.
What are the cows asking for? What arguments are they putting forward? Do you think they could have been more persuasive, or come up with better reasons for wanting the electric blankets? What is the response from the Farmer? What does it mean by, "Duck was a neutral party, so he brought the ultimatum to the cows". Do you think the situation was resolved fairly? Did both the Farmer and the Ducks get what they wanted in the end? |

On a small piece of paper write s short letter to the farmer on behalf of the hens. Give a reason for why the hens should have an electric blanket. Let's see how many reasons we can come up with!!!!
